Services List

Services are for new and existing solar installations.

Sight Inspection:

R 1400                             

Sight inspections are necessary to obtain information for type of system
and fixing methods.
A travel distance of 200km is included, Extra km charged @ R 3.98 per km.
Amount is deductable from price should quote be accepted.

Installation - From R:

R 6500                             

Installation fees vary from system to system and will be shown on quote.
Basic installation fee for our back-up system including DB rework is R 6500.

Additional DB work:

R 250                             

Items such as timers provided by client will be charged for per item.

Changes from original installation plan:

R 750                             

Sight inspections are done for a purpose.
Any changes in design after acceptance will be charged at an additional rate
per hour as well as material cost.

Outlying Areas:

R 1200 pn                             

Normal installation takes ± 3 days.
Should the team be required to stay over an additional fee will be charged unless
accommodation can be provided.

After Sales Call-out:

R 450 ph & R3.98/km

All after sales / installation call-outs will be charged @ the rates as shown.
Depending on distance cost will be calculated on distance travelled and time spent
or only on time spent.

Batteries

One of the batteries we use is the Hubble. It is a 5.5kW Lithium Iron battery and has a 10 year warranty. Together with the RIOT box these batteries and inverter can be monitored and managed via the internet.

The inverters we use are of the latest technology. They carry a 10 year warranty and have a 25 year life expectancy. All equipment is certified and has been accredited by most municipalities and Escom.

Installations

We install from back-up systems to full scale mini-grid solutions. As all installations are different we prefer to do a sight inspection before committing to a price.
Unfortunately due to costs there is a fee payable for a sight inspection but all documentation will be supplied to you should you opt not to make use of our service.

Back Up

A back up system is basically an inverter and batteries. The system is charged by electricity (ESKOM) via the inverter and can then be used during times of power outages.

Feed In

This system is used to reduce electricity consumption by using a large PV array to supply electricity during daytime. It is still connected to the grid (ESKOM) and is only operational when it is sunny.

Grid Tied

A grid tied system is used where electricity can be fed into the grid (ESKOM) thereby reducing the clients electricity bill. It is a PV system with back-up batteries and inverter.

Off Grid

This is a complete stand alone system and is managed by the user. It has an inverter, solar array and batteries for use at night time. Can be coupled with a wind turbine and / or generator to charge batteries.
